A tachometer is an imperative part of your performance monitoring setup because it displays vital information that throttling and shifting is based on. It displays engine and crankshaft revolutions per minute which gear shifting is heavily based on. A stock tachometer can hinder the performance and operation of your vehicle with its inaccuracies from wear and tear over time.
